Beauty and Mountain Tea Pet

Made each tea session a cherished ritual and a link to tradition. The color scheme of the beauty and mountain range are based on the famous Chinese painting, "A Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains 千里江山", a masterpiece of the Song Dynasty that was painted by talented 18 year old artist, Wang Xi Meng. Tea pets, like the beauty and the mountain, add personality and art to the tea space. They are "raised" over time by feeding them tea (usually the wash or first infusion). This set will connect you to the Song Dynasty (960-1279), the historical period when Chinese tea culture was reaching its greatest culture and political influence which would carry into the Tang Dynasty and up to the present age.
